Hailing from Perth, he noted that the blood filtering capacity of his kidney function is currently at around 60 percent but has mostly experienced minimal impact from the disease in his playing career. Despite his experience of 24 Tests, Green was left out of the Perth squad for the opening Test against Pakistan, with Mitchell Marsh being favored instead.
